Alfred Mutua while being interviewed by Jeff Koinange in Sunday Live in Citizen TV maintained that he would definitely win if repeat elections are held in Machakos County. Mutua s win was nullified by the Court of appeal of Kenyans in a case which had been appealed by former Kathiani MP his gubernatorial race competitor for the Machakos County governorship.
Mutua said he respected the ruling of the Supreme Court whereas he was not okay with it. He accused the judges of the court of not considering some of the important evidence provided to the court and using accusations and lies to make a ruling.
Mutua said that he was more than ready to go back to the ballot even if his appeal was ruled out at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kenya which happens to be the highest court in the land.
Mutua has been termed as a great and respected leader in his own county of Machakos, his Ukambani backyard and this country as a large. He has steered Machakos so fast than anybody could expect him to something which has gone well with his constituents.
Someone who walks through Machakos notices a very great improvement in terms of agriculture, infrastructure, medical facilities, education and so, much more.
